Biography
"I come from a very musically inclined family. My musical inspiration begins with my parents. My mother, Brenda Simmons is also a phenomenal singer and my father/manager, William Hutchison, is a self-taught bassist. They exposed me to different genres of music growing up which ignited in me a passion for music at an early age. I am currently 30 years young and have been singing now a little over 25 years. I started singing at age 5 after watching the movie "The Preacher's Wife" and fell in love with Whitney Houston's voice. I began writing lyrics at age 9. Around age 11, I began writing poetry and showing an interest in spoken word. Between ages 14 to 16, I started recording my first demo with the late great Music Producer/Composer/Bassist Maurice Houston. He was my dad's best friend and like an uncle to me. He was well-known for his legendary recording studio with life-long friend and business partner Roger Simmons in the Lake County, IL area: "Studio M". He taught me the essentials of recording and vocal production. I am forever grateful for Maurice giving me the opportunity to freely express myself before his passing. I fully intend to finish what we started..."
Obituary Designed by William E. Hutchison Jr.
"Music has the ability to change the way you think, feel and perceive the world. My music is a personal reflection of my life experiences. As a songwriter and producer, I believe in creating lyrical substance with relevance accompanied by music that is pleasing to the ears and to the soul. I am praying that it will speak to others, touch their hearts and transform lives, all for the glory of God."
